This has been a banner spring for fox sparrows. Usually, there are just a few migrating through on their way up north. This year, there has been a good size flock staying around. The recent 8 inches of snow and cold spring has made them stick around. Last night, we had another couple of inches of snow so they will probably stay longer.

Our favorite place to visit and photograph is Yellowstone National Park. My project for the past ten years has been photographing small birds in flight.
