Description
These little guys are really quite colorful when you see them with their wings open. This is probably my favorite pine siskin image. The yellows are visible on both the top and bottom of the wings. Plus, the yellow is visible in the tail feathers.
Pine siskins will show up at my feeders in flocks, sometimes with redpolls and american goldfinches. They can decimate a full thistle bag in very short order! They will also eat sunflower seeds but thistle is their favorite.
