Description
This image was taken at Vince Shute Wildlife Sanctuary in Orr, Minnesota. This particular bear was a juvenile, about two years old. Like humans, juvenile bears have an abundance of testosterone! He liked to bully the photographers, including me. He also thought he was going to chew on my tripod. This is typical behavior of juveniles. If a person stands up to them, they will back down. He liked to see what he could get away with. Once juveniles reach adulthood, this aggressiveness seems to go away and they become quite docile except during mating season.
