Artist's Description

Soon to be Ma and Pa.

An image of a pair of wood ducks taken in the tiny pond in the backyard in northern Minnesota. The female has been setting for quite awhile. In the evening, she will leave the nest for a few minutes and is joined by the male. She stretches, preens, eats, and takes a much needed break. Then she flies back into the nest. I'd sure like to get pics of the little ones as they fledge!

About Gerry Sibell

Gerry Sibell

Thanks for stopping by. A retired educator, my main focus since retirement has been becoming more serious about photography. My wife and I live in northern Minnesota. Our favorite place to visit and photograph is Yellowstone National Park. My project for the past ten years has been photographing small birds in flight. The most frustrating endeavor I have ever attempted but also the most rewarding. Each day, it seems like a new problem has to be solved with this very difficult kind of photography!
