An image of a male Eastern bluebird (Sialia sialis) taken in the backyard in northern Minnesota, USA. This little guy is the hardest worker. When he isn't bringing home the bacon for the little ones, he's in the box moving the kids around to get at the fecal or "poop" sacs. He flies out with the sacs and jettisons them away from the nest box. I really like the pleasant green background with the spruce trees for a backdrop.
Thanks for stopping by. A retired educator, my main focus since retirement has been becoming more serious about photography. My wife and I live in northern Minnesota. Our favorite place to visit and photograph is Yellowstone National Park. My project for the past ten years has been photographing small birds in flight. The most frustrating endeavor I have ever attempted but also the most rewarding. Each day, it seems like a new problem has to be solved with this very difficult kind of photography!
