I love your photography but whats that clump on the side of it's head

Gerry Sibell replied:

Thanks, Taylor. That clump looks like some fur from a deer that he had been chewing on.

Artist's Description

This image was taken at the International Wolf Center in Ely, Minnesota. The white wolf, Shadow, was the previous alpha, and is now in the retirement enclosure. Denali, on the right, injured Grizzer, the succeeding alpha so much that Grizzer was also put into retirement. Denali is a very young wolf but he is big and isn't even in his prime yet. He will be a force to be reckoned with for incoming wolves.

About Gerry Sibell

Gerry Sibell

Thanks for stopping by. A retired educator, my main focus since retirement has been becoming more serious about photography. My wife and I live in northern Minnesota. Our favorite place to visit and photograph is Yellowstone National Park. My project for the past ten years has been photographing small birds in flight. The most frustrating endeavor I have ever attempted but also the most rewarding. Each day, it seems like a new problem has to be solved with this very difficult kind of photography!
