She's Taken Canvas Print

This is an image of wood ducks taken in the tiny pond in my backyard. The males are very protective of their mates this time of the year. Last night was a real circus! There were three pairs in the pond with the drakes trying to protect their mates from about six other suitors! It got so crazy they all ended up taking off to get away from one another! The two geese in the pond, along with myself, just watched in amazement at all the antics!

Thanks for stopping by. A retired educator, my main focus since retirement has been becoming more serious about photography. My wife and I live in northern Minnesota. Our favorite place to visit and photograph is Yellowstone National Park. My project for the past ten years has been photographing small birds in flight. The most frustrating endeavor I have ever attempted but also the most rewarding. Each day, it seems like a new problem has to be solved with this very difficult kind of photography!
