Spruce Grouse Canvas Print

Spruce grouse are found in the forests of northern Minnesota and Canada. I have been reading that they are becoming more scarce recently. They are a very beautiful bird but not too smart! Luckily, most hunters won't shoot them because they taste like pine needles, which is one of their food sources.

Our favorite place to visit and photograph is Yellowstone National Park. My project for the past ten years has been photographing small birds in flight.
